Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a well established specialist engineering company operating within the construction and infrastructure sector, delivering engineered solutions and products for major projects across the industry.

Due to ongoing work, they are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Cardiff.

The Role
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for mechanical assembly, fitting and installation work, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:

• Mechanical fitting and assembly
• Working from engineering drawings
• Using hand and power tools
• Carrying out inspection and quality checks
• Assisting with maintenance and fault finding
• Following health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a skilled engineering team

About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter
• Strong mechanical and practical skills
• Experience reading engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail
• A strong commitment to health & safety
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
