Overview

We are seeking a confident and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join a well-regarded all-boys secondary school in Melbourne for Terms 3 and 4.

This is a full-time fixed-term role with a varied teaching load, requiring strong classroom management skills and experience delivering VCE English.

Teaching load includes

• 2 x Year 11 English (VCE) classes
• Year 8 English
• Year 9 Religion
• Wellbeing class

About the Role

The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and structured English programs across middle and senior year levels, with a strong emphasis on VCE preparation and student achievement.

You will also contribute to student wellbeing and religious education, supporting the holistic development of students within a supportive school environment.

Key Requirements

• Relevant secondary teaching qualification
• VIT registration (or eligibility)
• Strong experience teaching VCE English
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to teach across English, Religion, and Wellbeing
• Strong communication and student engagement skills
• Proven ability to support diverse learners in a structured environment
