Prospero Teaching is partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Melbourne’s south-east to recruit a passionate and experienced TAS / Design & Technology Teacher for a Term 3 placement. This is a unique opportunity to inspire students through hands-on learning, practical problem-solving, and creativity.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As TAS / Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across Years 7–10 Design & Technology

• Teach Woodwork, Metalwork, and Textiles to Years 9–10

• Lead practical, project-based learning that develops student skills and creativity

• Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and student engagement

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Hold relevant secondary teaching qualifications (e.g. B.Ed., M.Teach)

• Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

• Demonstrate strong classroom management and student-centred learning strategies

• Be passionate about fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in students

• Thrive in a collaborative, supportive, and dynamic school environment
