Remuneration: approximately $79,000 to $111,000 + super, depending on experience and classification, plus applicable penalties and allowances

Are you an experienced Scrub / Scout Nurse looking for variety, flexibility and a strong perioperative team? Carejobz is recruiting for a Registered Nurse with scrub and scout experience, including orthopaedics, to join a busy private theatre department in the Newcastle region.

About the Facility

Our client is a well-regarded private hospital in the Newcastle region with a busy perioperative department and a broad surgical case mix.

The Role

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team, providing instrument and circulating support across a wide surgical case mix. There is genuine scope to build experience in neurosurgery, robotic, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery, alongside general, orthopaedic and other core lists.

In this role, you will:

  • Scrub and scout across a broad range of surgical lists
  • Provide instrument and circulating support to the multidisciplinary theatre team
  • Build skills in specialties including neurosurgery, robotic, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery

What You Will Bring

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Previous experience as a Scrub / Scout Nurse in orthopaedics
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to working in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A commitment to customer service and quality improvement
