Your new company
Our client is a well-established Western Australian organisation operating across multiple sites with a workforce of approximately 650 employees. With a recently refurbished head office in Osborne Park and a small but diverse property portfolio that includes metropolitan offices, training facilities and operational sites, they are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to lead their facilities, workplace and operational support functions.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad leadership role that sits at the centre of the business, partnering with stakeholders across all departments to ensure the smooth delivery of workplace operations, facilities management and business support services.
Your new role
As the Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the operational support team while overseeing facilities, fleet management, contractor performance and workplace services across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a small operational support team, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Managing facilities operations across the Osborne Park head office, secondary office location, warehouse facility and operational sites
- Overseeing external contractors, including cleaning, electrical and maintenance service providers
- Managing invoices and expenditure while maintaining strong financial controls
- Providing operational reporting and business support to the CFO and executive leadership team
- Ensuring contractor compliance, workplace safety standards and site governance requirements are maintained
- Maintaining workplace presentation, functionality and employee experience across all locations
- Managing a small fleet of approximately 10 vehicles, including maintenance and compliance activities
- Supporting facilities planning and operational improvement initiatives across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Business Operations Manager, Facilities Manager, Workplace Manager or similar operational leadership role
- Strong facilities management experience across commercial office environments and multi-site operations
- Proven experience managing external service providers and contractor relationships
- Financial acumen with experience managing invoices, budgets and operational reporting
- Demonstrated people leadership capability and experience leading small teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on supporting internal stakeholders
- High levels of visibility, accountability and attention to detail
