Your new role
As Reliability Superintendent, you will provide leadership and technical direction across the site reliability function, driving improvements in asset performance, maintenance strategies and equipment availability.Working an attractive 4 days on / 3 days off roster, you will lead a team of reliability professionals and work closely with maintenance, engineering and operational stakeholders.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop the site Reliability Engineering team
  • Drive reliability and asset-performance improvement initiatives
  • Develop and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Identify and address equipment performance and reliability issues
  • Lead defect elimination and root cause analysis activities
  • Review equipment failure trends and develop improvement strategies
  • Improve maintenance tactics and asset management practices
  • Use reliability data and performance indicators to identify opportunities
  • Partner with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment availability
  • Support major shutdown, maintenance and improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership across critical plant and equipment
  • Promote continuous improvement and reliability best practice

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline
  • S26 qualification
  • Significant experience within reliability, maintenance or asset management
  • Previous leadership or superintendent-level experience
  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and maintenance strategies
  • Experience with RCA, defect elimination and equipment failure analysis
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry
  • A practical, hands-on approach to reliability improvement
