Working within a specialist ICT and business intelligence team, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement and sustainment of a critical enterprise platform that delivers reporting and insights to senior Defence stakeholders. Your new role
As the Lead ETL Developer, you will support the ongoing enhancement, maintenance and improvement of a key Defence information management and reporting platform. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver business intelligence capabilities that support critical decision-making across the organisation.Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and enhancing ETL solutions and data pipelines
• Designing and supporting dimensional data models
• Performing ETL testing, troubleshooting and code remediation activities
• Automating scripts and improving data integration processes
• Supporting ongoing reporting and business intelligence requirements
• Managing competing priorities while balancing technical dependencies and business outcomes
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and service delivery

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced ETL professional with strong technical capability and the ability to operate effectively within a secure government environment.You will bring:

• Proven ETL development experience, ideally within Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration solutions
• Experience with dimensional modelling, ETL testing and automation activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment
• Current NV1 Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Desirable: Experience working within Defence or another Commonwealth Government department
