Your new company
Our client is a leading civil construction contractor delivering major infrastructure and ground engineering projects across North Queensland. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team on a remote project located approximately 40 minutes west of Tully.
Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Engineer to join a 6-month project on a 10 days on, 4 days off roster.Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of civil construction works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.This position is offered on a DIDO basis from Cairns or Townsville, with camp accommodation provided throughout the duration of the project.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating daily site activities and project delivery
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Monitoring project progress against schedule and budget
  • Assisting with planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Preparing project documentation, inspections, and progress reports
  • Supporting the delivery team to achieve project milestones
  • Identifying and resolving site-based engineering challenges

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction as a Project Engineer or similar position
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery
  • Experience working on remote or regional infrastructure projects is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial and problem-solving abilities
  • Current Driving Licence
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards
