Haysis currently partnering with a well-regarded Western Australian StateGovernment organisation within the public transport sector to recruit anexperienced Senior FinanceOfficer for an initial four-month contract based inEast Perth.
Joining acollaborative finance team, you will play a key role in supportingbusiness-as-usual finance operations while assisting the team through a periodof internal secondments and promotions. This position offers the opportunity towork with large data sets, contribute to process improvement initiatives, andsupport the delivery of accurate financial information within a high-volumeenvironment.
Your New Role
Reporting to theTeam Leader within Ticketing Finance and working alongside a small financeteam, your responsibilities will include:

Managing customer finance queries and investigations Performing reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial data Supporting day-to-day finance operations and reporting activities Analysing large volumes of transactional and financial data Assisting with process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for automation Streamlining existing finance processes to improve efficiency Providing ad hoc finance support to the wider team as required Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver outcomes

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered,you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or reconciliation-focused role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a team environmentHighly desirable:
Previous State Government experience Experience using Power BI and/or Power Query Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiativesWhat You'll Get in Return
