Exciting 6-month contract for a Finance Business Partner
Finance Business PartnerExcellent opportunity to join Perth Childrens Hospital in a high-impact Finance Business Partnering role supporting frontline healthcare services.Hays is currently recruiting an experienced Finance Business Partner for the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) based at Perth Childrens Hospital, Nedlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a large and complex public sector health environment, partnering closely with clinical and operational stakeholders to deliver financial insights that support critical healthcare services across Western Australia.This is an immediate start contract role, initially offered for six months, with a strong likelihood of a further six-month extension.Your new roleReporting to the Manager, Finance and Business Partnering, you will join a collaborative finance team of approximately 1516 professionals, working alongside a group of Finance Business Partners supporting both clinical and non-clinical portfolios.Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with clinical and operational leaders to provide financial advice and support decision-making
- Preparing budgets, forecasts and end-of-month journals
- Delivering accurate financial reporting, variance analysis and performance insights
- Supporting budget management and financial planning activities
- Assisting stakeholders to understand financial outcomes and operational impacts
- Contributing to workforce and FTE reporting processes
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and enhanced reporting capabilities
- Building strong working relationships across finance and non-finance teams
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar commercial finance role
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to confidently partner with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
- Experience with Power BI and advanced reporting tools will be highly regarded
- Exposure to FTE management systems, Power Automate or Power Apps will be advantageous
- Previous health, hospital or government sector experience is beneficial but not essential
