An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced stakeholder engagement professional to join a major NSW Government department and play a key role in strengthening how the organisation engages with communities, government agencies, industry partners and stakeholders across New South Wales.
Operating within the Biodiversity, Conservation and Science division, you'll be at the forefront of stakeholder engagement strategy, governance and continuous improvement. This is a role that sits at the intersection of policy, projects, communications and stakeholder management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing outcomes, building relationships and creating practical engagement solutions that deliver lasting impact.
This isn't a traditional engagement role focused solely on consultation delivery. Instead, you'll help shape the frameworks, systems, governance and tools that underpin engagement across a large and complex organisation while providing expert advice on some of the department's most significant and high-profile programs.Your new company

With stakeholder expectations continuing to evolve, the department is investing in strengthening engagement capability across the organisation. As part of a specialist stakeholder engagement team, you'll play an important role in driving best practice, improving consistency and helping business areas deliver meaningful engagement outcomes.
Your new role
As Senior Engagement Advisor, you will provide expert stakeholder engagement advice, develop engagement frameworks and support the delivery of engagement initiatives across a diverse portfolio of projects and programs.
Working closely with executives, program teams, communications specialists and external stakeholders, you'll help ensure engagement activities are strategic, coordinated, measurable and aligned with organisational priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies, frameworks, systems, tools and guidance.
- Providing expert engagement advice and support for complex, sensitive and high-profile programs.
- Coordinating department-wide engagement initiatives to improve consistency, visibility and collaboration.
- Supporting engagement governance, reporting, performance measurement and risk management processes.
- Improving stakeholder relationship management systems, reporting approaches and business processes.
- Developing templates, guidance materials and capability-building initiatives that promote engagement best practice.
- Monitoring and evaluating engagement activities and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Building productive relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies and external partners.
- Supporting engagement planning, stakeholder analysis and consultation activities across major initiatives.
