Finance Business Partner6-Month Contract | Perth Children's Hospital | Immediate Start | Likely ExtensionAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large and complex public sector health organisation based at Perth Children's Hospital in Nedlands. This interim position has arisen due to maternity leave and offers the opportunity to support critical financial operations during a significant period of organisational change and service integration.Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Business Partnering, you will join a collaborative team of finance professionals responsible for partnering with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across the organisation. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact healthcare services while providing expert financial advice and support to key decision-makers.Your New RoleAs a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting operational leaders through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting activities. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, helping drive informed decision-making and financial accountability.Key responsibilities include:
- Budget preparation, forecasting and financial planning
- End-of-month processing and journal preparation
- Financial reporting, analysis and performance monitoring
- Business partnering with clinical and operational stakeholders
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to support service delivery
- Supporting workforce and FTE management processes
- Identifying financial risks, trends and opportunities
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across finance functions
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting and business partnering capabilities.You will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting expertise
- Experience preparing month-end journals and management reports
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- The ability to influence and build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and reporting experience
Desirable experience includes:
- Power BI reporting and data visualisation
- Exposure to Power Apps and/or Power Automate
- Experience with FTE workforce management systems
- Health, hospital or government sector experience
