An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Cyber Advisor (IRAP Assessor) / Lead Cyber Advisor to provide expert cyber security assessment and assurance services within a complex ICT environment. Working across critical technology projects, you will assess, evaluate and manage cyber security risks while providing trusted advice to support secure and informed decision-making throughout the system lifecycle. The role offers an initial 12-month contract with a 12-month extension option and requires a professional with strong cyber security assessment experience, stakeholder engagement skills and a thorough understanding of security assurance frameworks.

The successful Cyber Advisor (IRAP Assessor) / Lead Cyber Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Leading cyber security assessments for complex ICT systems and projects.
  • Conducting risk assessments, threat modelling and security control reviews to identify vulnerabilities and security gaps.
  • Assessing residual risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing security assessment reports, briefings and decision records for stakeholders.
  • Providing expert cyber security advice, mentoring team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful Cyber Advisor (IRAP Assessor) / Lead Cyber Advisor will have experience in the following:

  • Minimum 5 years\' experience conducting cyber security assessments within complex ICT environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ICT systems, architectures, security controls and risk management principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and advisory skills.
  • Sound understanding of IRAP assessment practices and relevant cyber security frameworks and policies.
  • ASD-endorsed IRAP Assessor status and/or relevant cloud and cyber security certifications will be highly regarded.
