Business Analyst | Lending

About the job

A well-established and growing financial services business is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a small portfolio of technology and business change initiatives.

This is a hands-on BA role suited to someone with a strong lending or mortgage background and genuine experience delivering technology projects. You'll work across 2 - 3 smaller initiatives, taking ownership from discovery and analysis through to implementation.

About the role

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading discovery, process analysis and solution design
• Understanding business problems and translating them into practical technology solutions
• Defining functional requirements and working closely with technology teams
• Supporting lending, servicing and operational process improvements
• Working across technology, automation and business change initiatives
• Managing SIT and UAT through to implementation
• Working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
• Engaging with business and technology stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle

About you

We're looking for a strong functional BA who has genuinely worked on IT delivery projects.

Ideally, you'll have experience across areas such as:

• Lending or mortgages
• Loan origination or servicing
• Credit processes or lending platforms
• Digital lending or customer journeys
• Core banking or related financial services technology
• Process improvement and technology-enabled change

You'll be comfortable getting into the detail, challenging existing processes, working through solutions with technology teams and seeing initiatives through from discovery to implementation.

This isn't a role for someone focused purely on requirements gathering or writing user stories. You'll need to demonstrate genuine end-to-end delivery experience and the ability to bridge business needs with technology outcomes.
