The Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) is the largest veterinary hospital in the Southern Hemisphere, offering 24/7 specialist and emergency services across Australia. We're currently seeking a full-time or part-time, Client Service Officer to become the welcoming face and first point of contact for clients and their beloved pets. About the Role:  
This is not your average reception job – every day at SASH presents new challenges. You'll be part of a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency and specialist hospital, working 10-hour shifts on a rotating roster. Expect variety, purpose, and the chance to make a real difference.  
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Greet clients and manage front-of-house areas, including waiting rooms 
  • Handle a high volume of incoming calls and emails using multiple systems  
  • Coordinate and book appointments across various departments 
  • Act as a liaison between clients and clinical staff 
  • Process payments (cash, EFTPOS, and insurance claims) 
  • Request results, samples, and documentation from third parties 

About You: 
You're a team player with a proactive mindset, ready to take on a role that is both challenging and deeply rewarding. You thrive in a busy environment and are passionate about providing a high level of service to both clients and their pets.  
To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • At least 2 years' experience in a high-volume reception or administrative role  
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal  
  • Strong initiative and time management skills 
  • A resilient and empathetic approach to client care  
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude  
  • A passion for animals and delivering outstanding customer service
