About the opportunity:
The Supervisor Liaison Officer reports to the Regional Operations Manager and acts as the key link between RACGP, GP supervisors and industry stakeholders. The role maintains supervisor networks, supports policy and process improvements, advocates for supervisor needs, and helps strengthen GP training outcomes that support quality healthcare for communities.

As our Supervisor Liaison Officer, you’ll also:

  • Advocate for GP supervisors by providing guidance, support and representation across RACGP training programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GP supervisors, General Practice Supervisors Australia (GPSA) and RACGP teams to inform policy, systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with regional teams, Registrar Liaison Officers and Practice Manager Liaison Officers to identify issues and improve the supervisor experience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen training practices, enhance engagement and support high-quality GP training outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Current registration as a General Practitioner and accreditation as an RACGP GP Supervisor, with knowledge of the GP training environment and training program requirements.
  • Experience building effective relationships with supervisors, training practices and professional stakeholders to support positive outcomes.
  • Strong communication, advocacy and collaboration skills, with the ability to identify issues, share insights and influence improvements.
  • A proactive and inclusive approach, with a commitment to supporting supervisors, contributing to continuous improvement and working effectively as part of a team.
