Senior Estimator

I’m working with a well-established Queensland construction and development business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial construction sector.

The business delivers a diverse range of projects across education, industrial, hospitality, retail and commercial sectors, including both new build and fitout projects. They have a strong pipeline of work ahead and are continuing to grow, creating a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator to join the team.

The Role:

• Managing the end-to-end estimating process for a range of commercial projects
• Preparing accurate and competitive cost plans, estimates and tenders
• Reviewing project documentation, drawings and specifications
• Preparing and managing subcontractor and supplier packages
• Issuing RFQs and analysing subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
• Working closely with the pre-construction and construction teams
• Assisting with tender presentations and client negotiations
• Supporting the business in securing new projects and maintaining strong client relationships

  
About You:

• 5+ years’ estimating experience within commercial construction
• Proven experience pricing new build and fitout projects
• Strong project experience across education, industrial, hospitality and retail
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, costs and procurement
• Strong subcontractor and supplier relationships across the Brisbane market
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of projects
