Redland City Council is seeking an experienced Field Officer (Parks & Conservation) to join the team in Thornlands.

This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance of parks, conservation areas, roadsides, and streetscapes across the Redlands Coast.

Pay Rate: $39.13 per hour
Engagement Type: Casual
Dates: ASAP- 1 January 2027
Hours: 6:30am – 3:45pm

Key duties:
  • Undertake parks, grounds and natural area maintenance
  • Complete horticultural, arboricultural and landscaping works
  • Operate and maintain a range of plant, tools and equipment
  • Carry out physically demanding outdoor maintenance tasks
  • Identify and report maintenance and safety issues
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality Council services
Requirements:
  • Current Class C Driver Licence – mandatory
  • Ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices
Highly regarded:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
  • Certificate III in Arboriculture
  • Landscape Construction, including Playground Inspector – Level 2
  • Conservation and Land Management, Fire Management or equivalent
