Painting Trades Workers

SJR Industries are currently seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Painting Trades Workers to join their team in Griffith NSW. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess: - Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools - Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings. - Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns - Knowledge of various painting methods and applications - Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications. - Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches and drawings - Safe operation of tools and equipment - Grinding, sanding and polishing of steel - Understanding of painting, caulking and sealing and putting them in to practice - Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods Skills & Abilities: - Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant - Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field - Ability to work in a team environment Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full-time Position available Applications open on 3rd September 2026 and closes on 3rd October 2026 If you are interested in this role APPLY now.
