We are licensed and offer a wide selection of Japanese whisky and sake, as well as local wines. Our team is friendly, professional, and passionate about Japanese food culture. We work closely together to ensure every guest enjoys a high-quality dining experience. Position Available: We are currently looking for FULL-TIME kitchenhands to join our team. As a key member of the kitchen, you will assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation, help maintain a clean and well-organised workspace, and support smooth service throughout operating hours. Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly valued. This is a great opportunity to become part of a dedicated team and contribute to delivering fresh, high-quality Japanese sushi to our guests. Responsibilities: 1. Washing vegetables, cutting meat and seafood, and prepping ingredients for various Japanese dishes. 2. Assisting with cooking tasks such as grilling skewers, frying tempura, boiling noodles, and preparing donburi or ramen toppings. 3. Setting up kitchen stations before service and cleaning all surfaces and tools after use. 4. Helping plate hot and cold dishes for dine-in, takeaway, and catering orders. 5. Checking the freshness of ingredients and rotating stock to maintain quality. 6. Restocking items like sauces, garnishes, condiments, and side dish components. 7. Following instructions from the Head Chef and kitchen supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Requirements: 1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a kitchen, preferably in a restaurant. 2. Compulsory secondary education is required. 3. Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques. 4. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. 5. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 6. Good communication and teamwork skills. 8. Experience in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. 9.
