Annual salary: $71,500.00 + superannuation

Task & responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests and present menus and beverage lists.
• Set and arrange tables according to bookings and service requirements.
• Take customer orders and accurately relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Open bottles and pour wine and other beverages for customers.
• Recommend wines and beverages to complement meals and suit customer preferences.
• Serve food and beverages in a professional and timely manner.
• Remove empty bottles and used glasses from tables and refill or replace glasses as required.
• Clear tables and return used dishes, glasses and cutlery to the appropriate areas.
• Operate the POS system, process customer payments and accurately handle cash transactions.
• Maintain clean, organised and well-presented dining and service areas.
• Follow workplace health and safety, food hygiene and responsible service of alcohol procedures.
• Assist with food and beverage service during busy periods and work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Qualification & experience

Qualification requirement: AQF Certificate II or higher. At least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. 

Work experience requirement: The successful applicant must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience as a Waiter in Australia in the last 5 years. 

If the applicant has not undertaken the required 1-year work experience in Australia, they must have 2 years of work experience.

The successful applicant must also hold the RSA qualification.
