Your new role

Based out of a Port Melbourne depot, you'll be working across a major municipal parks and gardens contract, assisting in the maintenance and presentation of streetscapes, parks, reserves and public open spaces.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Garden and landscape maintenance
  • Planting, pruning, mulching and weed control
  • Turf and garden bed maintenance
  • Operating horticultural plant and equipment
  • General parks and open space upkeep
  • Working safely as part of a dedicated outdoor crew

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • Proven horticultural, parks and gardens or landscaping experience
  • A Certificate III in Horticulture (highly regarded)
  • Strong plant identification and maintenance knowledge
  • Experience using horticultural equipment and tools
  • A current driver's licence
  • Happy to obtain a Police Check
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Candidates with extensive industry experience will be highly regarded, even if they do not hold formal horticultural qualifications.
