JAMD Logistics Pty Ltd trading as King of the Castle is seeking an experienced Restaurant/Cafe Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospitality venue.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, coordinating staff, maintaining high customer service standards, monitoring food and beverage service, managing stock and suppliers, overseeing workplace health and safety, and ensuring compliance with relevant hospitality and regulatory requirements.

Task & responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating daily restaurant operations.
• Supervising, training and supporting front-of-house and other hospitality staff.
• Preparing staff rosters and coordinating shifts according to operational requirements.
• Monitoring customer service and addressing customer feedback and complaints.
• Managing ordering, stock levels, inventory and supplier relationships.
• Monitoring food and beverage quality and presentation.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety and other applicable requirements.
• Monitoring operating costs, sales and business performance.
• Assisting with menu planning, pricing and promotional activities where required.
• Maintaining appropriate records and ensuring operational procedures are followed.
• Supporting the business owner with operational planning and continuous improvement.

Qualification & experience

The successful applicant must have:

• A minimum Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management,  or a related discipline; and
• A minimum of three years relevant experience in a related industry such as cafe or restaurant manager, food & beverage manager etc.
• Demonstrated experience managing hospitality staff and daily operations.
• Strong understanding of customer service and hospitality operations.
• Experience with staff rostering, stock control and supplier management.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety and relevant hospitality requirements.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
