Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their collaborative and high-performing team. This is a client-facing position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, providing quality support, and working as part of a supportive bookkeeping team.

Your new role

Reporting into the bookkeeping team, you will manage a varied client portfolio and be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse client base
  • Bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations
  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, STP and TPAR reporting
  • Payroll tax preparation and reporting
  • Preparation of reports and documentation to support accountants and clients
  • Assisting with the review and mentoring of junior team members where required
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within a public practice or client-facing environment
  • Strong Xero experience and knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems
  • Sound understanding of payroll, GST, BAS and compliance obligations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
