Our client is a well-established provider of maintenance and engineering services within the mining and heavy industry sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join their Mackay-based operations.


Your new role
As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and breakdown work across a variety of heavy mobile plant and equipment. Working within a supportive team environment, you will utilise your technical expertise to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime while maintaining a strong commitment to safe work practices. This position offers a sought-after 7 days on / 7 days off roster, allowing you to enjoy quality work-life balance while remaining home every night.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant or equivalent trade qualification
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and site requirements
  • Full Australian working rights
