CNC Operator

Your new company
Our client is a well-established South Australian manufacturer with a reputation for producing high-quality precision-machined components. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Machine Operator to join their production team on a full-time basis.

Your new role
Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision components to specification while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components
• Setting up machines and tooling to meet production requirements
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Using calibrated measuring equipment to inspect finished components
• Monitoring machine performance and identifying improvement opportunities
• Recording part dimensions and completing quality documentation
• Assisting with continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives
• Performing routine machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks
• Supporting and mentoring operators and apprentices where required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

• Previous experience operating and setting CNC machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
