With operations spanning multiple countries and a strong reputation for safety, reliability and operational excellence, they play a critical role in supporting essential logistics and trade services. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Technical Operations Coordinator to join their Sydney team in a role offering a mix of technical coordination, maintenance support and operational involvement.

Your new role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a trade, maintenance, engineering or technical support background looking to move into a broader coordination role. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and technical stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring critical assets remain safe, compliant and operational. You'll enjoy a varied position that combines office-based coordination with regular site and asset inspections, giving you exposure to maintenance planning, procurement, contractor management and operational support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities to maximise asset reliability and performance.
  • Managing the procurement of parts, consumables and critical spare components.
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers and operational teams to ensure maintenance works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting compliance activities, inspections, certifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance, purchasing and asset records within internal systems.
  • Assisting with technical projects, asset upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring works are completed to the required standards.
  • Supporting operational activities across multiple sites and locations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience gained within a trade, maintenance, engineering, facilities, manufacturing, transport or similar technical environment.
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Technical Coordinator, Operations Coordinator or similar role would be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence working with contractors, suppliers and operational personnel.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to spend time on-site supporting operational requirements.
  • Experience working with maintenance management systems, asset management, compliance activities or technical procurement will be advantageous but is not essential.
