Veolia’s Future Forward Program is a 5-week pre-employment program commencing Monday 9 November 2026 in Melbourne/Naarm. The program is designed to help First Nations people build confidence, gain hands-on experience and explore an exciting career pathway with Veolia.

For participants interested in becoming a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, this program provides an opportunity to experience the industry before progressing towards a potential apprenticeship pathway.

This program has the aim of increasing the employment of First Nations persons. It is a special measure intended to achieve equality under Section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).

What Can You Expect?

The first two weeks include:

  • Connection to Country Yarning Circle, cultural activities and Mentor Yarning Circle

Participants will then complete three weeks of hands-on workplace learning, gaining exposure to the day-to-day work of a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
