We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Baker to join our growing team on a permanent full-time basis.

Task & responsibilities

• Checking the cleanliness of equipment and bakery premises before production runs to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
• Inspecting the quality of raw materials and accurately weighing ingredients
• Mixing, kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding and shaping dough for a variety of bread and pastry products
• Preparing pastry fillings and bakery ingredients
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to achieve consistent, high-quality baked products
• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of bread, rolls, pastries and other baked goods
• Glazing buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing as required
• Operating bakery machinery used for mixing, rolling, moulding and cutting dough
• Cleaning, emptying and greasing baking trays, tins and other baking equipment
• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety standards
• Assisting with stock rotation and minimising product wastage
• Working closely with the bakery team to ensure production schedules and quality standards are consistently met

Qualification & experience

• Excellent English communication skills
• Full working rights in Australia
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Baker
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products
• A strong understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
