The Trustee for QCI Trusses Unit Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality carpentry works across residential and/or commercial construction projects, including structural framing, installations, and repairs.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Carpenter (ANZSCO 331212) who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver safe, accurate, and durable building outcomes in line with Australian standards and project specifications.

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation

Task & responsibilities

• Studying drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures
• Ordering, selecting, and measuring timber, plywood, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
• Constructing, erecting, and installing frameworks, wall structures, roof trusses, and panelised systems
• Laying sub-flooring, floorboards, and verifying the trueness and alignment of structures
• Installing doors, windows, frames, cladding, fascia panels, and internal fittings
• Cutting and fitting wood joints and assembling prepared components for installation
• Constructing concrete formwork when required
• Repairing, maintaining, and renovating existing timber structures and fittings
• Working safely with timber, wallboard, lightweight steel, laminates, perspex, and metal components
• Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements and building regulations
• Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas after completing tasks

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry experience, or
• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent) with on-the-job training
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools, and construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications accurately
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety
• Relevant registration or licensing (if required by state or territory regulations)
