Motor Mechanic

Border Bandag are currently seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join their teams in WODONGA VIC. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess: - Diagnose and detect mechanical faults in cars manually or by the use of computer diagnostic programs - Examine vehicle parts to ensure that they are working perfectly - Follow Checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined - Maintain and repair vehicles for customers - Air-conditioning & basic Auto electrical repairs - Assist customers in carrying out routine maintenance on vehicles such as changing oil, lubricating frictional car parts, tightening bolts and nuts and tyre change and rotation - Following environmental sustainable work practices - Help customers in buying quality car parts for replacement - Replace damaged or worn-out car parts - Keep leading mechanic inquiries and render advice on vehicle maintenance - Ensure the safety of vehicles brought in for repair - Daily workshop housekeeping & safety reporting - Test drive each vehicle after repair Qualifications and Skills - Certificate III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent - Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Trade qualified Automotive Technician - Problem-solving skills - Aptitude for technical activities - Ability to work in a team environment Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Full-time Positions available Applications open on 14th September 2026 and closes on 14th October 2026 If you are interested in this role APPLY now.
