Sun Zapper Sun Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Conference and Event Organiser to develop, plan and deliver conferences, trade shows, product launches, surf events, sun safety workshops and community programs across Australian and international markets, with a particular focus on Asia.

Based at our headquarters in Charmhaven on the NSW Central Coast, the successful candidate will create engaging event programs and work closely with management, schools, surf clubs, retailers, distributors, suppliers, community organisations and international partners.

The position will support Sun Zapper’s continued growth by delivering professional events that promote sun safety, encourage community participation and showcase our Australian made sun care products.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver conferences, trade shows, product launches, surf events, sun safety workshops and community events for Sun Zapper.
• Develop event concepts, programs and activities that promote sun safety, community participation and Sun Zapper’s Australian made products.
• Consult with management, event partners, schools, surf clubs, distributors and community organisations to determine event objectives and participant requirements.
• Coordinate Sun Zapper’s participation in Australian and international events, including events involving China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
• Manage relationships with surf clubs, schools, pharmacies, retailers, influencers, distributors and other event partners.
• Prepare event programs, invitations, participant registrations, product demonstrations, displays and communication materials.
• Arrange venues, catering, audiovisual equipment, signage, transport, accommodation and other services required for each event.
• Coordinate event communications and activities in English, Mandarin and Cantonese for multicultural participants and international partners.
• Oversee event delivery, contractors and service providers, monitor event budgets, collect participant feedback and prepare reports for management.

Qualification & experience

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in conference coordination, event management, trade shows, product launches or brand activations.
• A relevant qualification in event management, marketing, communications, business or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in FMCG and lifestyle event management, preferably involving sun care, skincare, outdoor, sporting or consumer products.
• Proven experience delivering brand activations and promotional events.
• Experience coordinating event programs, participants, venues, suppliers, contractors, budgets, promotional materials and event services.
• Strong organisational, planning, time management and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese required to coordinate effectively with partners, suppliers, distributors and event participants across multicultural markets.
• Availability to travel within Australia and internationally when required.
