About the Role We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play an essential role in ensuring our guests and associates have access to clean, fresh, and impeccably presented linen and uniforms. From guest room linen and restaurant textiles to associate uniforms, your work behind the scenes helps deliver the exceptional service and luxury experience our guests expect. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, enjoys working in a team environment, and has a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor washing, drying, dry-cleaning, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently. Wash, dry, press, fold, and distribute hotel linen and associate uniforms. Ensure the correct use of all laundry equipment and chemicals. Identify stained, damaged, or worn items and determine whether they require repair, re-washing, spot treatment, or replacement. Inspect laundered items to ensure they meet Marriott quality standards. Load and unload washers and dryers while selecting appropriate temperatures and cycles for different fabrics. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain traps after each load. Fold and sort linen and uniforms according to hotel standards. Maintain accurate records of laundry volumes and associated processes. Ensure the laundry room, equipment, and work areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation. Comply with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times. Assist colleagues and support the wider Housekeeping team as required. About You The successful candidate will have: A positive attitude and strong work ethic. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards. A friendly personality and customer-focused mindset. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues. The ability to work effectively within a team environment. Good organisational and time-management skills. The ability to work in a physically active role involving standing, lifting, carrying, and repetitive tasks. Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays. Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or commercial cleaning experience is advantageous but not essential.
