Job Title:                        Group Leader (Room Leader & Educator)/Child Care Worker

Reporting to:              Kids Academy ELC

Salary:                         AUD $75,000 - AUD $85,000 per annum, plus super

Hours:                             Full Time Permanent (38 hours per week)

Location:                       Multiple services around Perth, WA.

Task & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Room Leader Duties

• Lead the daily operations of the room, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.
• Guide, mentor, and support educators within the room to deliver best-practice pedagogy.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation, observations, learning stories, and developmental records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's learning and wellbeing.
• Support the Centre Director with continuous improvement processes.

Educator Duties

• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences based on children's interests and developmental needs.
• Provide high-quality care, supervision, and support to children throughout the day.
• Foster positive, nurturing relationships with all children and families.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
• Contribute to documentation and observations of children's learning.
• Work collaboratively with the Room Leader and broader educator team.
• Follow all centre policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualification & experience

About You

• A Certificate Ill or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
• A passion for high-quality education and care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Current WWVP check (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain).
