Key Responsibilities

The Retail Manager will be responsible for:

• Organising and controlling the day-to-day operations of the retail establishment to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Determining appropriate product mix, stock levels and service standards based on customer demand and business requirements.
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating stock replenishment to maintain adequate availability of products.
• Coordinating purchasing activities and liaising with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, deliveries and related requirements.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of purchasing, pricing and marketing strategies for the establishment.
• Monitoring sales performance and implementing appropriate strategies to improve customer engagement and sales outcomes.
• Promoting the establishment's products and services through in-store promotions, advertising and other approved marketing activities.
• Setting and reviewing prices in accordance with business requirements, supplier costs and established pricing policies.
• Maintaining accurate records relating to stock levels, sales, purchases and financial transactions.
• Assisting with budgeting and monitoring expenditure to support the financial performance of the establishment.
• Supervising and coordinating retail staff, including allocating duties and overseeing daily work activities.
• Participating in the selection, induction, training and ongoing supervision of staff.
• Maintaining appropriate customer service standards and responding to customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Monitoring the presentation, cleanliness and overall standard of the retail premises.
• Ensuring staff follow workplace procedures and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Monitoring operational issues and implementing appropriate measures to maintain smooth and compliant store operations.
• Preparing operational information and reports for management as required.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Relevant qualification: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management, Retail Management, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years' experience in a similar retail management or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in retail operations, stock management, staff supervision, customer service and sales.
• Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day retail operations and maintain appropriate service standards.
• Full-time work rights in Australia.
• Good communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer-facing retail environment.

Salary and Employment Conditions

Salary: $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Employment: Full-Time

Work Location: Mittagong, NSW

The successful applicant will be required to work in accordance with the operational requirements of the business and applicable Australian workplace laws and employment conditions.
