The Job Company Pty Ltd on behalf of Vesta Designs Pty Ltd (ABN 63 648 757 064) is seeking skilled and qualified Architectural Draftsperson to join our team in Glen Waverley, VIC 3150. The ideal candidates should have hands on experience in all the general duties and responsibilities of a skilled Architectural Draftsperson.

Position:  Architectural Draftsperson  

Salary: $80,000 - $82,000 plus superannuation 

Employment Type: Full-time (minimum 38 hours per week) 

Location: Glen Waverley VIC 3150

Task & responsibilities

• Review architectural concepts, briefs, and specifications to determine necessary drawings, dimensions, and construction methods
• Prepare and draft detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings using CAD/BIM software
• Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, and building systems for projects
• Prepare site plans, layouts, and set-out drawings in accordance with project requirements
• Develop construction documentation including floor plans, roof plans, and structural details, ensuring accuracy and compliance with codes
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and builders to ensure drawings reflect structural, mechanical, and aesthetic requirements
• Prepare documentation for door and window schedules, wall cladding, and finishing details
• Amend and update drawings based on client feedback, consultant input, or site conditions
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations
• Assist with preparation of documentation for council submissions and approvals

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 1+ year(s) of experience in architectural drafting or a similar role
• Tertiary education in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Design, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD) and BIM processes
• Detailed understanding of building codes, standards and construction methods
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preference will be given to VIC Residents
