Hays is partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation seeking a passionate Project Officer to support the delivery of youth-focused wellbeing and community programs across Perth. This newly created position has been established to support organisational growth and program expansion. Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with schools, families and community organisations while coordinating programs that positively impact children and young people. Your new role
As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating youth-focused programs delivered across schools and community settings. You will work closely with education providers, community organisations and families to create engaging programs that promote wellbeing, resilience, participation and positive outcomes for young people. The role offers a diverse mix of stakeholder engagement, program delivery, school outreach, event coordination and community development activities. You will also assist with the coordination of school holiday programs, youth initiatives and occasional overnight camps.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience delivering programs within education, youth, community or human services environments and enjoy building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, education, youth work, social work, human services or a related discipline
- Experience designing, coordinating and delivering programs for children and young people
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships with schools, families and community organisations
- Experience coordinating school holiday programs, community activities or youth-focused initiatives
- Strong organisational, facilitation and project coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities is highly regarded
- Current WA Driving Licence and Working with Children Check
Knowledge of youth development frameworks, wellbeing programs and community engagement approaches will be highly regarded.
