Your new company

Our client is a leading player in Australia's recycling and resource recovery sector, committed to sustainability and reducing waste through innovative recycling solutions. Operating large-scale facilities across the country, they work closely with councils, communities, and industry to give materials a second life.
The Townsville site is a busy, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As part of the recycling industry, the site processes mixed waste streams. Candidates should be comfortable working in an environment where there can be strong odours and typical recycling yard conditions.



Your new role

As a key member of the operations team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Operating a forklift to load, move, and sort recyclable materials
  • Performing manual handling tasks within the workshop and yard
  • Assisting with sorting and processing waste and recyclable products
  • Supporting general site operations to ensure efficiency and safety
  • Working across a roster that includes early starts, weekends, and public holidays
  • This is a hands-on, physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a hardworking team.




What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Valid LF Forklift Licence
  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or industrial environment (recycling experience highly regarded)
  • Ability to perform manual handling and physical tasks
  • Strong work ethic and reliability, particularly with early starts
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
