The Trustee for GROWING PORTFOLIO UNIT TRUST
The automotive electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical and electronic systems and components in a range of motor vehicles. The role requires strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing electrical and electronic faults using specialised diagnostic and testing equipment.
- Inspecting, testing and repairing vehicle electrical systems, wiring and electronic components.
- Repairing and replacing faulty ignition systems, wiring harnesses, switches, fuses and other electrical components.
- Testing, repairing and replacing alternators, starter motors, batteries and charging systems.
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
- Installing electrical equipment, electronic components and vehicle accessories.
- Connecting electrical equipment and accessories to vehicle power supplies.
- Reading and interpreting technical specifications and manufacturer information.
- Conducting testing after repairs and installations to ensure systems are operating correctly.
- Maintaining accurate records and following workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an automotive electrician.
- A Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
