Key Responsibilities

As an Engineer, your duties will include:

• Designing and developing electrical and fluid systems for client, rental, and service applications
• Reviewing customer requirements and technical specifications to determine appropriate engineering solutions
• Preparing technical quotations and providing accurate product and equipment recommendations
• Selecting and specifying suitable electrical, hydraulic, instrumentation, and associated system components
• Preparing and supporting the development of electrical schematics, technical drawings, 2D/3D models, and Bills of Materials
• Providing technical support to customers and internal departments regarding electrical and hydraulic systems, components, and equipment
• Responding promptly to customer technical enquiries via telephone and email
• Liaising with suppliers and the procurement team to source electrical components, equipment, fabrication, and other required materials
• Supporting technical handovers to engineering and manufacturing teams following contract award
• Assisting with electrical and hydraulic system build, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities
• Liaising with customers regarding technical requirements, variations, and commercial matters
• Reviewing outstanding and unsuccessful quotations to identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintaining and continually developing technical and product knowledge
• Representing Trident Australia at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings when required
• Undertaking special engineering projects as directed by management

Skills & Experience Required

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical engineering, preferably within industrial, hydraulic, fluid handling, mining, oil & gas, defence, or similar technical industries
• Experience designing or supporting electrical systems, control systems, hydraulic systems, or industrial equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials
• Experience with technical quotations, equipment selection, and engineering solutions is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to develop practical engineering solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, manufacturing personnel, and management
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements

Salary: $79500-85000
