Cleaner — Residential & Accommodation Properties

Number of vacancies: 10 Start date: Mid October Duration of employment: Fixed-term 9 months About the role We are looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners to join our team servicing residential houses and accommodation businesses (motels, holiday units, short-stay properties & work camps) across Kununurra. Day-to-day duties will include: • General cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas • Cleaning windows • Making beds, changing and laundering linen • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces • Restocking guest supplies and amenities in accommodation units • Rubbish removal and general tidying of outdoor/entry areas • Reporting maintenance issues or damage to management • Following workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling of cleaning chemicals What we're looking for • A positive attitude and willingness to learn — no formal qualifications required • Physically fit and able to manage standing, bending and lifting throughout a shift • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team or independently • Comfortable working in a tropical/outdoor climate (indoor and some outdoor duties) • A current driver's licence is an advantage but not essential • Prior cleaning experience is a bonus, not a requirement — full training and on-the-job upskilling will be provided Pay and conditions This role is covered by the Cleaning Services Award 2020. Pay rate: $33.85 per hour, in line with the applicable Award/Fair Work Instrument, plus superannuation. 30 hours per week, days to be confirmed, work hours between the hours of 7.00am – 5.00pm. Training and development On-the-job training will be provided, with opportunities to build skills in commercial and hospitality cleaning standards.
