Pump Service Technician

Pump Power Australia is on the lookout for an experienced and qualified Pump Service Technician to join our professional staff on a full-time basis in our workshop and out in the field. Tasks & responsibilities Strip, assess, service and repair a variety of pumps and pump types Assemble new pumps from parts Attendance of job sites where pump repairs are required Fault-finding & troubleshooting Maintaining a tidy workshop and maintaining tools & equipment Store duties including receiving shipments, pick & packing spare parts for customer orders Other assistance with "rainy day" duties Experience & attributes: Forklift license and experience Strong mechanical skills & prior experience with pumps Basic computer skills for documentation & reporting Solid understanding of and commitment to WHS requirements Keen attention to detail & problem-solving skills Ability to work as part of a team with minimal managerial oversight 5 years experience as Fitter & Turner Restricted electrical workers license is advantageous Good personal presentation & interpersonal skills Mechanical service technician skills 5 or more years experience working with rotating machinery and or pumps Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings. Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments Forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment May erect pumps and associated equipment on-site Benefits: On the job training & development Uniforms and company car provided after probation period Friendly & supportive team environment Wage: $35 - $45 per hour, full time (Depending on experience) Hours: Full time, 7.6 hours per day.
