Skillinvest is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and motivated individuals for upcoming harvest opportunities across the Wimmera and surrounding regions.

We are looking for reliable operators and drivers for a variety of seasonal roles, including:

  • Header Drivers
  • Chaser Bin Drivers
  • Grain Truck Drivers


These roles play a critical part in supporting local growers during the busy harvest season and offer the opportunity to work with modern equipment in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Depending on the role, duties may include:

  • Operating headers to harvest grain crops safely and efficiently.
  • Operating chaser bins to transport grain from headers to waiting trucks.
  • Transporting grain from paddocks to receival sites and storage facilities.
  • Conducting pre-start inspections and basic maintenance on machinery and vehicles.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reporting faults.
  • Following harvest schedules and directions from farm managers.
  • Maintaining accurate records, load documentation and delivery information.
  • Complying with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Working extended hours during peak harvest periods when required.


IS THIS YOU?

  • Previous experience operating agricultural machinery or heavy vehicles.
  • Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport.


HIGHLY REGARDED:

  • HR, HC or MC Truck Licence (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous harvest experience.
  • Agricultural machinery operation experience.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
