PRIMARY CONSTRUCTION PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating and repairing timber and other building structures and fixtures. The role requires the ability to interpret plans and specifications, accurately measure and set out work, use carpentry tools and equipment safely, and complete construction work to required quality and safety standards.

Task & responsibilities

• Read and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials.
• Construct and install frames, walls, floors, doors, windows and other fixtures.
• Perform carpentry repairs, renovations and maintenance.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain quality, accuracy and workplace safety standards.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other tradespeople.

Qualification & experience

• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant construction field or at least two years of on-the-job training
• Minimum 1 years of relevant carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Ability to read plans and accurately measure and set out work.
• Competent use of carpentry tools and equipment.
• Good knowledge of construction practices and workplace safety.
