Your new company

Our client operates within the healthcare sector, supporting hospitals, pharmacies, correctional facilities and community health services across Australia. They are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to join their growing team and help deliver a high level of service to customers across NSW.

Your new role

As the Technical Operations Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operation and support of a specialist software platform used by clients across NSW.

This is a hands-on technical role, not a people leadership position. You will take ownership of technical issues from investigation through to resolution, working closely with customers and internal specialists while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting and operational improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and resolving application, infrastructure, networking and database-related issues
  • Administering Windows environments and supporting secure enterprise customers
  • Using PowerShell and SQL to investigate issues, automate tasks and improve reliability
  • Managing support tickets through to resolution and maintaining strong customer communication
  • Improving documentation, processes and support workflows
  • Visiting client sites across NSW when required
The role is predominantly work from home. However, candidates must be based in Sydney and willing to travel to customer locations throughout NSW when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in Technical Operations, Systems Administration, Infrastructure, Application Management or a similar hands-on technical role
  • Strong Windows Server, networking and systems administration expertise
  • Experience using PowerShell to automate tasks, improve efficiency and manage environments
  • Strong SQL Server and database administration skills
  • Proven ability to investigate complex technical issues and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working within enterprise or highly regulated environments
  • Ability to work independently whilst managing competing priorities in a remote environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience within healthcare, clinical systems or other regulated industries will be highly regarded

What you'll get in return

  • Predominantly remote working with flexibility and autonomy
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a critical technical function
  • Varied work across application support, systems, infrastructure and customer environments
  • Exposure to healthcare and mission-critical technology environments
  • Join a growing organisation where your technical expertise will have a direct impact on customer outcomes and business success
  • Long-term opportunity to help shape and improve the support function as the business continues to grow
