About the Position

CAROUSEL CAR WASH WA PTY LTD t/as Star Car Wash – Westfield Carousel is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail & Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day retail and service operations of its busy car wash facility.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in coordinating staff, managing service operations, maintaining service quality, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall operational performance of the business.

This position requires a hands-on manager with strong leadership, organisational and customer service skills who can effectively manage staff, workflow, service delivery and operational efficiency within a fast-paced car wash and vehicle services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee the daily retail and service operations of the car wash facility to ensure efficient workflow and smooth service delivery.
• Coordinate and supervise staff, including rostering, training, mentoring and performance management to maintain productivity and service standards.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the car wash facility, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control across vehicle washing, cleaning and detailing services.
• Plan and allocate staff and operational resources according to customer demand and daily workflow requirements.
• Monitor customer service standards and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is consistently maintained.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints and service-related matters professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate vehicle service schedules, workflow priorities and customer bookings to maximise operational performance.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of vehicle cleaning, washing and detailing services.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, detailing materials, retail products and operational supplies and coordinate purchasing requirements.
• Assist in implementing pricing strategies, promotional initiatives and customer engagement activities to support business growth and repeat business.
• Maintain operational records and assist with budgeting, financial reporting and cost-control measures to support business performance.
• Monitor operational expenditure and assist management in maintaining appropriate cost controls.
• Develop and implement workplace procedures relating to customer service, service delivery, staff performance and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and operational standards.
• Identify operational issues and implement appropriate solutions to improve efficiency, service quality and customer experience.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Management, Retail, Hospitality, Service Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
• Minimum 1 year and preferably 2 years of relevant management or supervisory experience in a retail, service, automotive or customer-focused environment.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating and supervising staff in a busy operational environment.
• Strong leadership, organisational and staff management abilities.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage daily service operations, workflow and service standards.
• Ability to monitor operational performance, maintain records and contribute to budgeting and cost-control activities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience in managing a car wash, automotive service, vehicle detailing or similar service operation will be highly regarded.
