Inglewood Poultry Farm Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for up to 10 positions at our Inglewood, Toowoomba and Pittsworth locations to meet ongoing operational requirements. The farm employs 52 weeks per year, and Full Time positions are available. No experience required. Full training is provided and we do have a strong focus on workplace health and safety which is a priority on our sites. We will provide training and upskilling for workers. Various positions with indicative duties: • Making chicken feed, bag out feeds & maintain mill cleanliness • Maintaining feed line and distribution of stock feed • Removal of live birds from crates & ensuring all biosecurity controls are adhered to • Walking sheds to check stock and report any issues • Checking drinkers and feeders and rectifying any issues, adjusting feeders and drinkers • Ensuring floor litter is kept dry and repair water leaks • Checking and repairing perimeter fencings of sheds & weed control and cleaning sheds • Culling where necessary & catching chickens and placing in crates for transfer to abattoir • Shackling of live birds onto production line • Kill floor duties that may include use of knives, manual evisceration & grading of processed birds • General housekeeping and cleaning duties • Removing portions from carcass, boning birds to acceptable standards and specification • Packing portions of chickens into trays or placing whole chickens into bags • Picking and preparing orders, printing pallet stickers, reconciling cartons • Providing support to production when directed; palletize and wrap orders; loading product • Adhering to the principles of organic chicken production and food safety standards • Tasks may vary across the farm, abattoir, production and dispatch • Ensuring your actions do no harm to other workers and the chickens in your care • Ensuring you comply with all requirements of safe work systems • Work in a manner that complies with the Quality Assurance Systems • Following procedures to ensure hygiene and health standards are maintained To be considered you must have: • A strong safety focus • Good time management, be punctual and hardworking; • Ability to work well in a team; • A positive attitude, good work ethic and be reliable • Be physically fit for manual labour Full time hours are a minimum 38 hours per week. The hourly rate for these positions is as per the relevant award including conditions and overtime rates. Shifts according to work needs - 7 days per week, typically 5am to 10pm according to the roster. Pay and conditions will be in accordance with the National Employment Standards. The positions are paid at classification Level 1.
