About the Role
The Retail Manager (General) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Bricks & Loot retail stores across multiple shopping centre locations in Western Australia. The position will oversee retail operations, stock management, sales performance, staff supervision, purchasing, pricing, merchandising and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of Bricks & Loot retail stores across multiple shopping centre locations in Western Australia.
Oversee store operations, presentation and customer service standards and ensure consistent retail practices across locations.
Determine appropriate product ranges, stock levels and service standards for the retail stores.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate stock ordering, replenishment and distribution between branches where required.
Assist with purchasing activities and maintain appropriate relationships with suppliers.
Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, promotional and marketing strategies in accordance with business objectives.
Set and review product prices and monitor sales performance across the branches.
Promote and advertise the business's goods and services through appropriate retail and marketing activities.
Sell goods and services to customers and provide advice regarding product selection and use.
Monitor sales performance, customer demand and market trends and identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability.
Prepare and monitor sales targets, budgets and operating expenses for the retail stores.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, expenses, financial transactions and other relevant business activities.
Supervise, train and coordinate retail staff across the branches, including allocating duties and monitoring staff performance.
Assist with the recruitment and selection of retail staff as required.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and consistent customer service standards are maintained across all locations.
Monitor the condition, presentation and merchandising of products and displays at each branch.
Liaise with shopping centre management and other relevant parties regarding day-to-day retail operations where required.
Identify operational issues across branches and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and customer service.
Report on branch performance, sales, stock and operational matters to the Employer.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and relevant retail procedures.
Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position of Retail Manager (General).
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
Relevant experience in retail management or a similar management position for more than 2years.
Demonstrated experience managing day-to-day retail operations.
Experience in stock control, purchasing, pricing and retail merchandising.
Experience supervising, training and coordinating retail staff.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to monitor sales performance and manage budgets and operating expenses.
Ability to work across multiple retail locations and coordinate operations between branches.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing operational priorities.
What We Offer
Full-time employment with 38 hours per week.
Salary of $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
