We are seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, maintaining and repairing structures and fixtures made from timber and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of building plans, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Task & responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation requirements.
- Select, measure, and prepare timber, hardware, and other construction materials for building projects.
- Construct and install structural frameworks, including wall frames, roof structures, flooring systems, and other timber components.
- Assemble prefabricated timber structures, fittings, and fixtures for installation on-site.
- Cut, shape, and join timber and other materials using hand and power tools to achieve required specifications.
- Install door frames, window frames, external cladding, roofing components, and associated structural elements.
- Ensure completed structures are accurately aligned, level, and compliant with construction standards and building regulations.
- Carry out repairs, renovations, and maintenance of existing timber structures and fittings as required.
- Assist with the construction and installation of concrete formwork for building projects when needed.
- Work with a variety of materials, including timber, laminates, metals, and other construction products to meet project requirements.
- Maintain a safe and organised worksite while complying with workplace health and safety procedures.
Qualification & experience
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year relevant full-time work experience as a Carpenter.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in the use of carpentry tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current White Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
- Valid driver's licence is must.
Salary: $80000-85000
