Prostruct Projects Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Carpenter.

Benefits

The remuneration is AU$79,500-89,500 per annum plus superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

- Constructing and installing timber wall frames, roof framing and associated structural components in accordance with construction drawings and project specifications.

- Studying drawings and specifications to determine required materials, dimensions, and installation procedures for various carpentry projects.

- Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing precise layouts for construction work.

- Cutting materials to size, assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts, and ensuring the trueness of structures during installation.

- Installing and adjusting wooden components, including windows, doors, stairs, skirting boards, partitions, ceilings, and other fixtures.

- Constructing wooden forms for concreting, ensuring accuracy for both structural stability and project specifications.

- Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring, floorboards, and fitting exterior wall cladding, fascia panels, and door and window frames.

- Repairing wooden elements by replacing or fixing parts that are out of adjustment, deteriorated, or loose to restore functionality and appearance.

- Maintaining and ensuring the precision of cutting tools while performing woodwork tasks, contributing to the quality and accuracy of the construction.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications:

- Certificate III in Carpentry or a recognised equivalent carpentry qualification, including equivalent qualifications awarded under previous training frameworks.

Experience:

- At least one year of relevant work experience.

Skills:

- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications, determine material requirements and accurately measure and set out work.

- Proficiency in selecting, cutting, shaping and joining timber and other construction materials using appropriate tools and equipment.

- Skills in constructing and installing wall and roof framing, flooring, cladding, door and window frames, and internal fittings.

- Strong attention to structural alignment, dimensions and finishing quality, with knowledge of relevant building standards and safe work practices.
